TrackMania² Stadium à l'ESWC 2013 - ManiaActu - News for TrackMania, ShootMania, and QuestMania

Ahah nice, Knovni Canyon world champion invited on a Stadium tournament... Why not a Trackmania tournament with Stad and Conyon ?
#3 par Minato sur 09/05/2013 à 19:38
#2 Because that would show that the ESWC officals have a slightly knowledge of the game... but of course, that's not the case here.

I think this is the right decision, but you probably all know that already and why I think so too so I won't elaborate.

Now I just hope ESWC will replace Finalist mode with the ESL Cup Mode to make this a truly great event...

...(and pay out the 2008 prize money before it starts as well).

For the gamemode, the best will be to wait if Nadeo will propose something with the release of Stadium and which model can be used (free or pay game for example).

Hope they fix the game before ESWC u_u, still waiting that FOV fix, shadows/lights, optimization of the game, and slidemarks.

Canyon still can be an unofficial discipline, the same it was last year, so maybe it´s soon to be so sure that Nadeo changed strategies on this.

gogo, sponsor this canyon tournament..
at the moment, I had wished that starcraft 2 was there, then stadium won't be there :O

Hello!
I am from the ESWC TEAM.We are reading many reactions since yesterday and clearly, there is a real debate with our choice for Trackmania.
We understand some people are very disappointed but we chose to be focus on only one game this year. And like we already confirmed on twitter, it will be Trackmania2 Stadium :)
In the spirit of giving a chance for our 2 champions from last year, we invited them to this tournament. And for all we saw on our facebook, klovni seems very motivated ;) I hope everyone will understand our decision and we will be happy to answer your questions on facebook

Still wondering why CS men and women are separated ... 1 tournament, 1 community without sexism could improve the quality of our tournament, and also could give a chance to an other game, like Tekken, or TM2 Canyon !
#18 par Minato sur 10/05/2013 à 15:12
I don't really understand your decision. TM2 Stadium is still in Beta. That means there could be significant changes in the next few months, which will make the game hopefully better, but nevertheless it means a reorientation for the players... Besides, Canyon is way more exciting to watch. Of course, that's just my own opinion, but I guess it's the main opinion for most of the spectators.

That's obviously sad for TMC players but showing only one version of the game is the way to improve its reputation. What should spectators trust if every year they come they watch another version of the game? Would they think that the game is professional if organizers always change their mind?

Moreover, TMNF is dying slowly especially on offline events. Some years ago the game was played during WCG, DH, etc. Now the Gamers Assembly is maybee the greatest event in terms of skill, which was just a national event 3 years ago.

Right decision according to me.

I understand ESWC's point of view, but when talking about TM2's two envis, they are both pretty awesome in competition (which for example Valley won't be I think) and both of them should be kept in tournaments. TM2C has still a lot to give, at least more than stadium, even though stadium remains my favorite environment.
