Opale Arena #5 SM et Stadium annulés - ManiaActu - News for TrackMania, ShootMania, and QuestMania

[/Troll]Yeah Stadium best esport game nah? xD
We can see now how you support your lovely game :D[/troll]

<notroll> look at the prizemoney and think about it... no international guy would travel there for this... not to speak of the esport teams which would never send someone for this amount of money -.- </notroll>
#3 par Eldrad sur 06/08/2013 à 21:32
the cap'arena there were the international and yet the cashprize was lower ... invalid escuse, ca just proves that you (the community stadium, not you onio! I love you) only play for money ...
#4 par Wally sur 06/08/2013 à 21:44
Lol, you guys really want to start a debate on that?
ESL (not EMS), STC/NC, TMM, TmT, Giant Cup... and much more.. all these tournaments have no cash prices, and there's already a HUGE amount of participants in each of these tournaments.

Don't say such things when you don't even know the community. We play because we love our game. Players won't pay much more money to travel to an event where the cash price is so low. It's not like OA5 was like ESWC.

We play stadium, because we love stadium. That's it. We don't want some canyon/valley guys talking sh*t about us... thx

Sad news for Stadium and Shootmania but nice new for Valley

Hey Wally, how are you?

Good news for valley! But when there are <24 players, will the prizemoney go down again like last time? Because this shouldn't happen..

Because, we only need 15 players to get the full prizemoney in my oppinion, 15 players x 40€ inscription = 600€ ;) Grrr E2G..

And their was not more money at Cap'Arena, and internatinal dudes came. Same as GA2012, stadium has seen many foreigners for a ridiculous prize.

I just see here that Stadium guys says that their game is the best driving esport game, but do not come when their is an offline event. And the french comunity in this game who can come is big enough to make the tourney full.
Beside that the garbage game (canyon/valley) is always full or almost (with foreigners).

Crying everywhere that stadium is the best esport and finnally not coming in events is ridiculously selfish and unforgivable.

I like to see stadium matches, but pardon me to say that, i wish it will be the last ESWC stadium. You dont fucking deserve that.

oNio you are one of few tmn players i respect. But when i see that, i have to say that the tmn community is shitty.

The money thing is not about the prizes, but about the money it takes to fly/drive to the place. For example, to fly from Finland to Paris it costs almost 400 euros to fly (if cheapest option), and for a student etc, that is really much.

öhm excuse me if i'm wrong eldrad, but wasn't it 280€ fpr stadium overall?

my bad onio :p
but anyway this is not a reason for not coming ...

after there's no debate that's just a fact ^ ^ I totally crazy stadium's opinion in relation to us, and vice versa!

has cap'arena there were about 500 euro for trackmania, it does not prevent the players other countries to come, because beyond the money, we are REALLY playing for fun to see our friends in lan...

I loved seeing onio, laurens, Klovni, majo and the whole community that French lan and I find it unfortunate that stadium does not benefit event like this to come laugh with us

For Stadium it was 50% of the cash entrance but for Valley we put more ( but not 100% Laurens ;) ) because it's the first tournament.

I can understand it's difficult for foreigners to come but it's the same with 10k € of cashprize if you don't finish in the podium. Play a LAN need to stay fun and enjoy to see other players IRL and not only see the money. A choice can be to make only 1 LAN per year or search a cheaper solution (car, bus.... when possible).

Sad news :(
#13 par wormi sur 07/08/2013 à 00:00
Stadium has so many leagues, cups etc that one random LAN may be skipped easily though. Valley hasn't had more than 1 tournament yet.
#14 par Wally sur 07/08/2013 à 00:01
@outrage
Why are you such a hater...
Why do you hate stadium players so much.. All this because one event didn't atract as much players as it was suppose to be.
Calm yourself. Don't judge a whole community by one single event. lmao
#15 par Minato sur 07/08/2013 à 00:49
We play because we love our game. Players won't pay much more money to travel to an event where the cash price is so low.

This is just so wrong... So an offline event is just about earning money? It's not about meeting people with the same interest as you from all over the world - well, europe -? It's not about having a weekend full of fun?

Tbh, I didn't expect many players for every tourney, but that the registrations are that low so that two of three tournaments have to be cancelled is kinda sad... But imho it's not a fault of the community, it's just that the community seems to be too small. So don't blame the guys who could have joined this event because they are playing trackmania, blame the world for not playing trackmania! :P

#16 par Wally sur 07/08/2013 à 08:36
Minato, I agree with you on your second point.
But, if by pure chance i manage to qualify for the ESWC championship in france, it would already be a win for me. Meeting the community in real life is my "trackmania dream" for so long... just ask carl jr. or mael.. I talked so much to them about this goal in my trackmania career... anyways...
I can't participate to LAN in europe cause I would have to pay like 2000$ for the plane. I have an ocean to cross..

Anyways... I'm just saying that an event with a bigger cash price will indeed attract more players.

;)

#17 par infarctus sur 07/08/2013 à 11:00
stadium players are blablabla...Valley/canyon players are blablabla...guys come on what's that behave?

Just hope this is anger that talks, and not you all. If not, this is just sad :( Hopefully, i know that 90% of players don't think like that and just keep quiet.

#18 par wormi sur 07/08/2013 à 11:13
These stadium-topics are getting kinda boring. Why do you always need to hate or be mad about something? Wally said the truth here, also Minato and infarctus said it well.

Offline events are for fun of course, but as I said before, and as Wally said before, it's not possible to pay maybe even thousands of euros just to come play somewhere. It's a full different thing to fly from Canada than to drive from Netherlands etc to France :p

Hey guys ! I'm sad to see that TM players, valley or stadium, are fighting to be the bests etc ... I'm not from Tech or valley but Dirt, and I will give my opinion.

Imo it's really sad to see months after months, years after years, that stadium tournaments (in France) are gathers less and less players, sometimes none. Atm only Valley and Canyon players travels on LAN, with high Cashprize or not, and meets them IRL. It's a true thing when valley or canyon players said that stadium players don't travel, specially french players, to play on the LAN which still try to organize a stadium tounament. ESWC and GA, and thats all ... Really sad imo.

I think stadium players really likes their game, but it's not the same goal than valley/canyon players comes in LAN, and the "cost to travel" isn't an excuse for many players (not for players who must comes from far away ofc). Do you see often Belgians or germans stadium players coming in LANs exept for ESWC or GA ? NO.

Dirt players from France and bordering countries are trying to meets them and organize LANs, certainly with Cashprize, but before all it's for the pleasure to meet us 2 or 3 week and in a year. Fun before all guys, It's this point that Stadium players are forgetting.

Anyway, it's jus my own view.
