The ESWC website just updated its content with all the ESWC 2013 schedules and information. Once again this will be during the Paris Game Week from 30 October to 4 November 2013. So we know now a bit more of how this great competition will look like.

TrackMania² : Stadium and ShootMania : Storm have been taken by organizers to be part of the games of this world cup. Among them will be other great games like Dota 2, CS:GO, FIFA 14 and Call f Duty : Black Ops II. Let's have a look to all the information :

ESWC.fr

The French qualifications for the Main event will take place one day before the World cup. Thee will be 4 french teams for ShootMania : Storm and 8 players for TrackMania² : Stadium.

We seek your maps

For the TrackMania² : Stadium tournament, we are searching for your work to build an awesome Mappack. This Mappack will be used for the Opale Arena #5 and the ESWC qualifications.

Really hope ESL Cup Mode can be used for the tournament. It's time to move on and upgrade from the dreadful standard mode.

Also, still waiting for some other news... :/

well, I can understand that you don't like the cup mode but imo and as a spectator I find this mode way more exciting than the esl mode to watch

de mieux en mieux, je parie que les 4 équipes feront tout de même l'eswc world vu que le pakistan le bresil sera sans doute pas dispo, et que ce sera de superbe écran 60hz de la mort qui tue !

From observations of players activity and level the last year, it is safe to say that Slot 6 - Pakistan does not contain any competitive players that we know of.

For the remaining slots I would propose:
- Two slots for the Nordic countries (Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Finland). There is a lot of high profiled and active players in this region, ESWC 2008 winner, frostBeule, WCG 2009 winner KarjeN, ESWC 2010 winner Bergie among several other potential players.
- Two slots for Czech Republic/Slovakia scene. ESWC 2011 was dominated by two players from Slovakia, and there is more active and potential players to find here.

If for some reasons ESWC have trouble arranging qualifiers in said nations/regions, then they should consider expanding the Europe qualifiers and/or take into account nations like Italy, Portugal or especially Germany.

I hardly doubt that there is a german organization that will organize the german national final, but i would be to glad if i'm wrong at this point ^^

remove pakistan & Brazil.
Even if there is a team, the level wouldnt be the same.
Add more slots to other regions in stead ( like nordic countries )

I dont agree with extra czech slots.

#2 I think it's just a case of giving the mode a chance. Because I think it's by far much more interesting as there can be a lot of situations that can happen in a match in compare to the standard mode. If you haven't seen it, I made a post at maniaplanet explaining exactly, and showing an example of it too: http://forum.maniaplanet.com/viewtopic.php?f=470&t=17609

And then of course it's much more fair for the players, which I think should be considered just as much when you pick a mode. And this is not just for when you lose matches and can feel robbed from the victory. For me, an esport - or a normal sport for that matter - it's very important that you can feel proud and know that you deserved to either win or lose. That's a big part of any competition or sport in my book, and this is what the ESL Cup Mode brings to the table, besides being much more interesting as well. I'm confident once you've seen it at a big event (if it ever happens...) that you'll see why it's better, for you as an audience too.

Ok remove pakistan, no prob.. but Brazil? lmao, so much good players in there, why would we remove it.
I'm thinking about Vini, Knight, Kaell, Caio and much more.
Come on guys, it's not because Brazil have some ''poor'' regions that they don't have computers.. Grow up a bit.

I dont understand how people can send maps ? the link is for the forum and that all, i dont understand how we can send map ...
I guess people have to send map to an adress email ? but what adresse ?
